Getting the black screen for a sec is an expected behavior of the Microsoft Multiplane OverlayThis hyperlink is taking you to a website outside of Dell Technologies. (MPO) feature with the Intel Comet Lake CPU.

Note: MPO feature is a power conservation feature to enhance battery life. Intel recommends end user to enable this feature.

MPO feature can be disabled by editing the registry table as follow steps:

  1. Search DisplayFeatureControl in the Registry Editor.
    Search DisplayFeatureControl in Registry Editor. 
  2. Modify the value from 3e3 to 383.
    Modify the value from 3e3 to 383.
  3. Restart the computer.
