Removing the base cover
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- To remove the base cover:
- Loosen the M2.5x5 (8) captive screws that secure the base cover to the laptop [1].
- Pry the base cover from the edge near the air vent [2].
- Lift the base cover away from the laptop.
