Removing the display hinge

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WWAN
    4. WLAN card
    5. hinge cap
    6. display assembly
    7. display bezel
  3. To remove the display hinge:
    1. Remove the M2.5x3.5 screws (3) that secure the display hinge to the display assembly [1].
    2. Lift the display hinge away from the display assembly [2].
    3. Repeat the step 3a. and 3b. to remove the other display hinge.
