Removing the Display Hinge

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
    3. keyboard trim
    4. keyboard
  3. Perform the following steps:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the display hinge at the front and back of the computer.
    2. Lift and remove the display hinge from the computer.Figure displaying how to remove the display hinge from the computer.
