Removing the I/O Board Shield

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. VESA stand
    2. back cover
    3. VESA mount bracket
    4. power supply fan
    5. system-board shield
    6. speaker cover
  3. Remove the screws that secure the power-button board to the I/O board shield. Disconnect the cable from the power-button board and take it away from the I/O board shield.

  4. Remove the screws that secure the power connector to the I/O board shield.

  5. Remove the screws that secure the I/O board shield to the chassis. Loosen the power connector and press it down the socket. Flip the input/output (I/O) board shield and remove it from the computer.
