Removing the Converter Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. VESA stand
    2. back cover
  3. Disconnect the cables from the converter board.

  4. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Disconnect the display-backlight cable from the connectors on the converter board [1].
    2. Disconnect the converter-board cable from the connectors on the converter board [2].
    3. Remove the screws that secure the converter board to the computer [3].
    4. Lift the converter board away from the computer [4].
