Configuring the Serial Settings

To configure the Serial settings:
  1. From the desktop menu, click System Setup, and then click Peripherals. The Peripherals dialog box is displayed.
  2. Click the Serial tab and do the following:
    1. Select Port—Click the button to select the Port. Default is COM 1
    2. Baud Rate — Select the Baud Rate from the drop-down list. Default is 9600.
    3. Parity — Click the button to select the Parity.
    4. Stop— Click the button to select the stop bits 1, 1.5, 2. Default value is 1.
    5. Size—Click the button to select the Character size 5, 6, 7, or 8 bits. Default is 8.
    6. Flow Control —Click the button to select Flow Control: Either None, XON/XOFF, CTS/RTS, or Both can be selected . Default is None
    7. Serial Touch Screen selections — Select the required touch screen from the drop-down list. Available options are ELO, MicroTouch and FastPoint .
    8. Touch Screen on — Select the required serial port ( COM port) or None from the drop-down list.
  3. Click OK to save the settings.
