Removing the SIM Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery

    2. base cover

    3. SSD card

    4. keyboard trim

    5. keyboard

    6. palmrest

  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Disconnect the SIM board cable from its connector on the system board [1] [2].
    2. Remove the screw that secures the SIM board cable to the computer [3].
    3. Remove the SIM board from the computer [4].
