Installing a cooling fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
- Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
NOTE: The procedure for installing each
fan is identical.
Steps
- Align the connector at the base of the cooling fan with the connector on the system board.
- Slide the cooling fan into the securing slot until the tab locks into place.
