Installing the left fan

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

About this task

The following images indicate the location of the left fan and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Steps

  1. Connect the fan cable to the system board.
  2. Slide fan below the heat sink and align the screw holes on fan with the screw holes on the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
  3. Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the fan to the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
