Modify a file pool policy
You can modify a file pool policy.
CAUTION:If existing file pool policies direct data to a specific storage pool, do not configure other file pool policies with
anywhere for the
Data storage target option. Because the specified storage pool is included when you use
anywhere, target specific storage pools to avoid unintentional file storage locations.

In the
File Pool Policies list, next to the policy you want to modify, click
View/Edit.
The View File Pool Policy Details dialog box is displayed.

Click
Edit Policy.
The Edit File Pool Policy Details dialog box is displayed.
- Modify the policy settings, and then click Save Changes.
- Click Close in the View File Pool Policy Details dialog box.
Changes to the file pool policy are applied when the next SmartPools job runs. You can also start the SmartPools job manually to execute the policy immediately.
