Removing the palmrest

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. SD card
   2. base cover
   3. battery
   4. keyboard
   5. hard drive
3. To remove the palmrest:
   1. Lift the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the connector on the system board [1].
   2. Remove the 11 (M2.0x5.0) and the 2 (M2.0x3.0) screws that secure the palmrest assembly in place [2, 3].
      
   3. Turn the system around and disconnect the system board cable and power button cable from the connectors on the system board [1, 2].
   4. Remove the 2 (M2.0x3.0) screws that secure the palmrest to the system [3].
      
   5. Push the hole at the bottom of the system to release the palmrest from the bottom chassis.
      
   6. Lift and remove the palmrest from the system.
