Upgrading Dell Command Configure on systems running Ubuntu Desktop

To upgrade Dell Command | Configure on systems running Ubuntu Desktop 16.04 using a Deb package,

  1. From dell.com/support, download the command_configure-linux-3.2.0-<build number>.tar.gz.
  2. Untar the file using the following command:
    tar -zxvf command_configure-linux-3.2.0-<build number>.tar.gz
  3. To upgrade, run the following command:
    dpkg -i command configure-linux-3.2.0-<build number>.x64.deb
  4. To verify the current Dell Command | Configure version, go to the default installation path and run
    ./cctk --version
