Procedure

1. Close the display and turn the computer over.
2. Remove the ten screws (M2.5x7) that secure the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

3. Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

4. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
   NOTE: Disconnect the battery cable only when you continue to remove other components from your computer.
