Removing the coin cell battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD memory card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery cable.
- Remove the
hard drive assembly.
NOTE:Required for systems with 42 Whr battery
- Remove the IO board.
Steps
- Flip the I/O board.
- Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the coin cell battery out of the slot on the I/O board [1].
- Remove the coin cell battery away from the computer [2].
