Importing or Clearing Foreign Configuration

A foreign disk must be inserted into the chassis.
To import or clear the foreign configuration:
  1. In the left pane, click Chassis Overview > Storage > Controllers > Setup .
  2. On the Controller Setup page, in the Foreign Configuration section, for the respective controller, click:
    • Clear Foreign Configuration to clear the existing configuration of the disk.
    • Import/Recover to import the disk with the foreign configuration.
    • NOTE: When you remove the disks of a particular virtual disk, reset the controller and reinsert the drives one by one, multiple virtual disk instances of different sizes and states are displayed on the Foreign Configuration page. The correct state and size of the virtual disk is displayed after the import activity is complete.
