The NetWorker server's /nsr/logs/daemon.raw is flooded with "Unable to complete SSL handshake with nsrexecd on host 'CLIENT_NAME': An error occurred as a result of an SSL protocol failure." Aside from a possible connection issue, this makes parsing the logs for any other troubleshooting difficult. This article highlights steps that can be followed to clear this issue from both the server and client-side connection.

"Warning: Port 9090 is already in use" when configuring authentication service on Red Hat Linux. The cockpit-ws component is configured by default to accept connections on port 9090.

After updating the SSL certificate on the vCenter server, NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) backups of Virtual Machines (VM) fail.

Issue typically happens when a server cannot access the Internet to authenticate the certificate. Installation fails with error "cfgk1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt."

The backup of a virtual machine (VM) fails with the following message in the backup action log "Request is missing list of virtual disks to backup." The log identifies VM disks that are configured as Independent disks in VMware.

The backups intermittently fail with a resource not found message in the NetWorker Management Console (NMC) and the backup session logs.

Vproxy VM Recovery fails when clone copy is on Tape. Restore fails at cloning part of the recover command. Manual clone from CLI and NMC also fails.
