The Dell VMAX and PowerMax enterprise storage platform families support storage-based Non-Disruptive Migrations (NDM) to migrate business-critical host systems to new storage arrays without application downtime. With the release of the PowerMaxOS 5978.444.444 code family, NDM support is added for the IBMi host platform. NOTE 1: For IBMi systems that also use Dell's native STM software toolkit (SRDF/TimeFinder Manager for IBMi), there are some additional considerations when the (optional) final step in the NDM process is done for a device-identity reset (unspoofing) of the migrated devices. Read the instructions provided below, prior to performing the identity reset! NOTE 2: The device identity reset, also mentioned as an "unspoof" operation, has implications for the next initial program load (IPL) phase after the unspoof. Read further details below.

zDP does not create SECURE SNAPSET due to previous SECURE SNAPSET not expired and cannot be deleted.

Issue 2: SRDF/A secondary inconsistency occurs SRDF/A secondary inconsistency will occur if the SRDF/A source device is a FlashCopy target and FlashCopy is not blocked. If FlashCopy if blocked, SRDF/A secondary consistency will be maintained. FlashCopy will be blocked if the FlashCopy target device is also a SNAPVX source device.

GDDR tags do not display C-Ahead as expected.

zDP fails to resume SRDF/A after performing a consistent SNAPSET. Eventually SRDF/A drops CACA.10 on one subsystem in the MSC group.
