If inconsistent block size settings are used in the 2-way NDMP data transfer path, the NDMP backup will not work and the tapes used during the backup may be marked full prematurely. It has been observed that the NDMP backup will start but the tape loaded in the drive gets marked full immediately, even if there is space remaining on the tape.
