Dell OpenManage Enterprise Dell AIOps Infrastructure Observability (formerly CloudIQ) plugin enables you to configure connectivity between OpenManage Enterprise console and Dell AIOps Infrastructure Observability. AIOps Observability is Dell's cloud-based infrastructure AIOps management console and is part of a boarder solution incorporating Application Observability and Incident Management. Dell's AIOps collector is a virtual machine (VM) that collects and transmits data from VMware, Connectrix, and PowerSwitch environments to Dell's backend systems. It has default specifications of 1 vCPU, 8 GB of memory, and 10 GB of disk space for analysis and support.
For VMware, the Collector communicates to vCenter using the VMware Application Program Interface (API) and requires a user with read-only privileges. For Connectrix and PowerSwitch devices, the Collector communicates to the individual switches using REST API and uses a nonprivileged user. A single collector can be used for all three asset types - VMware, Connectrix, and PowerSwitch.
The collector is locked down by development and does not allow remote access through SSH, thus port 22 remains closed.
