This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Display Assembly and a Vostro 3530. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover, Battery Cable, Wireless Module (WLAN) and reinstalling them.
Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
Loosen the captive screws on the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover near the hinges to release it from the system.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.

Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the base cover and press the edges and sides until it snaps into place.
Tighten the screws captive that secure the base cover.
Install the screws that secure the base cover.
