Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
Use a plastic scribe to pry open the base cover at the gap near the display hinges.
Use a plastic scribe to pry open the base cover, inserting it at intervals to release the top, left, right, and bottom edges.
Lift the base cover off the palm rest assembly.
Memory Module
Identify the memory module highlighted in blue.
Pull the retention clips away from the memory module until it pops up.
Remove the memory module from the slot on the system board.
Install
Memory Module
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue.
Slide the memory module firmly into the memory module slot at an angle.
Press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the base cover on the palm rest assembly, and snap it into place.
Tighten the captive screws to secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
