Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Turn the latch release lock to the unlocked position.
Press the cover release latch and remove the system cover.
Air shroud
Position the System as shown in video.
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the touch points at the center of the air shroud, lift the shroud from the system.
Internal cooling fan
Identify the Internal Cooling Fan highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the internal cooling fan power cable from the system board.
Holding the internal cooling fan, press the release tab, and slide the cooling fan out in the direction of the arrow marked on the fan.
Expansion card holder
Identify the Expansion Card Holder highlighted in blue.
Press the tab and remove the expansion-card holder from the chassis.
Expansion cards
Identify the Expansion Card highlighted in blue.
Press the expansion card latch and push down the latch to open it.
Hold the expansion card by its edge, and pull the card up to remove it from the expansion card connector and the system.
Internal Dual SD Module (IDSDM)
Identify the internal dual SD module (IDSDM) highlighted in blue
Pull up on the blue pull tab and lift the IDSDM out of the system
PHM
Processor
Identify the CPU highlighted in blue
Release the socket-release lever near the unlock icon by pushing the lever down and out from under the tab.
Release the socket-release lever near the lock icon by pushing the lever down and out from under the tab. Lift the lever 90 degrees upward.
Hold the tab near the lock symbol on the processor shield and lift it up and out of the way.
Lift the processor out of the socket.
System memory
Select the system memory you want to replace
Push the ejectors outward on both ends of the memory module socket to release the memory module from the socket.
Lift and uninstall the memory module from the system
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue
Disconnect all cables from the system board.
Remove screws securing the system board to the chassis.
Holding the post, incline the system board at an angle, and lift the system board out of the chassis.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue
Holding the post, incline the system board, and lower the system board into the chassis.
Holding the system board holder, push the system board toward the back of the system such that the ports on the system board align with the corresponding slots on the chassis.
Install the screws to secure the system board to the chassis.
Connect all cables to the system board
System memory
Confirm the system memory you want to replace.
Align the edge connector of the memory module with the alignment key of the memory module socket, and insert the memory module in the socket.
Press the memory module with your thumbs until the socket levers firmly click into place.
Processor
Identify the CPU Location highlighted in blue
Release the socket-release lever near the unlock icon by pushing the lever down and out from under the tab.
Similarly, release the socket-release lever near the lock icon by pushing the lever down and out from under the tab. Lift the lever 90 degrees upward.
Hold the tab near the lock symbol on the processor shield and lift it up and out of the way.
Align the pin-1 indicator of the processor with the triangle on the system board and Align the processor with the socket keys.
Place the processor on the socket such that the slots on the processor align with the socket keys.
Close the processor shield.
Lower the socket-release lever near the lock icon and push it under the tab to lock it
Lower the socket-release lever near the unlock icon and push it under the tab to lock it.
PHM
Internal Dual SD Module (IDSDM)
Identify the internal dual SD module (IDSDM) location highlighted in blue
Align the IDSDM connector with the connector on the system board
Press the IDSDM into the connector
Expansion cards
Identify the Expansion Card location highlighted in blue.
Open the expansion card latch adjacent to the slot you want to install the expansion card.
Holding the card by its edges, position the card so that the card aligns with the expansion card connector.
Insert the card firmly into the expansion card connector until the card is fully seated.
Close the expansion card latch by pushing the latch up until the latch snaps into place.
Expansion card holder
Identify the Expansion Card Holder location highlighted in blue.
Align the expansion card holder with the projections on the chassis and push it down until firmly seated.
Internal cooling fan
Identify the Internal Cooling Fan location highlighted in blue.
Align the four tabs on the internal cooling fan with the four slots on the system wall.
Press and slide the internal cooling fan into the slots until the release tab locks into place.
Connect the internal cooling fan power cable to the connector on the system board.
Air shroud
Identify the cooling shroud location highlighted in blue
Align the tabs on the air shroud with the securing slots on the chassis.
Lower the air shroud into the chassis until it is firmly seated.
Position the System as shown in video.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the latch release lock clockwise to the locked position.
