Removal
Power Supply Units
Select the power supply unit (PSU) you want to replace
Disconnect the power cable from the PSU
Press the orange release latch and slide the PSU out of the system by using the PSU handle
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a 1/4" Flathead or a Phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock counter clockwise.
Lift the latch untill the system cover slides back.
Hold the cover on both sides, and lift the cover away from the system.
Cooling fan cage assembly
Identify the cooling fan cage assembly highlighted in blue
Lift the blue release levers to unlock the cooling fan cage assembly from the system
Hold the release levers, and lift the cooling fan cage assembly from the system.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the edges of the air shroud, incline the air shroud at an angle.
Move the cables away from the air shroud to prevent the cables from being pinched or crimped.
Lift the air shroud from the system.
PSU cage
Identify the PSU cage highlighted in blue
Disconnect the cables from the connectors on the power distribution board.
Disconnect the cables from the connectors on the power distribution board.
Using both hands slowly rotate and pull up the PSU cage handle.
Hold the handle with one hand and the rear of the PSU cage to lift away from the system
BOSS cage
Identify the system battery highlighted in blue
Use a plastic scribe to pry out the system battery.
Lift the battery out of the socket.
Rear IO card
Identify the Rear IO card highlighted in blue
Remove the screws that secure the Rear IO card to the system board.
Holding the edges, pull the Rear IO card to disconnect from the connector on the system board.
Install
Rear IO card
Identify the Rear IO card location on the system board.
Align the connectors and slots on Rear IO card with the connector and standoffs on the system board.
Press the Rear IO card until firmly seated on the system board connector.
Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, secure the Rear IO card to the system board with the two screws.
BOSS cage
Identify the BOSS cage location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the BOSS cage on the system.
Slide the BOSS cage toward the front of the system until it clicks into place to lock from key slot.
Connect the intrusion switch cable to the connector on the rear I/O board and Connect the BOSS-N1 power and signal cables to the connectors on the BOSS-N1 module.
PSU cage
Identify the PSU cage location highlighted in blue
Using both hands slowly rotate and pull up the PSU cage handle.
Hold the handle with one hand and the rear side of PSU cage, align and insert the PSU cage with the help of guiding slots at both sides of the chassis.
Rotate the handle down to lock position.
Connect the cables to the connectors on the power distribution board.
Connect the cables to the connectors on the power distribution board.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue
Tilt the air shroud at an angle and align the air shroud tabs with the system slots.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it clicks into place.
Cooling fan cage assembly
Identify the cooling fan cage assembly location highlighted in blue
Holding the blue release lever of the cooling fan cage, align the guide rails on the cooling fan cage assembly with the standoffs on the system.
Lower the cooling fan cage assembly into the system until the cooling fan cage connectors engage with the connectors on the system board.
Lower the blue release lever and press to lock the cooling fan cage assembly into the system.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system.
Push the system cover latch down.
Using a 1/4" Flathead or a Phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise.
Power Supply Units
Confirm the highlighted PSU is the correct location to install or change selection.
Slide the PSU into the system until the PSU is fully seated and the release latch snaps into place
Connect the power cable to the PSU
