This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Coin Cell Battery and a Precision 5860 Tower. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover, Air Shroud, UltraSpeed Card and reinstalling them.
Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Using a phillips screwdriver to turn the side panel latch to the unlocked position.
Pull the release latch to release the side cover from the system.
Push the latch and release the side cover from the system.
Lift the side cover away from the system.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
Hold the top air shroud at the grip points and pull it upwards out of the system.
UltraSpeed Card
Coin Cell Battery
Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the coin cell battery out of the slot on the system board.
Remove the coin cell battery from the system.
Install
Coin Cell Battery
Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue.
Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing up.
Snap the battery in the socket.
UltraSpeed Card
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
Align the top air shroud over the heat sink and system board.
Install and press the top air shroud down until the tabs click into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs with the slots and install the side cover on the system.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the side-panel latch to the locked position.
