This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Solid State Drive 2230 - External and a Precision 5860 Tower. The procedure will also include removing the Solid State Drive Assembly External, Solid State Drive and reinstalling them.
Removal
Solid State Drive Assembly External
Identify the solid state drive (SSD) assembly highlighted in blue.
Push the release button on the external flexbay bracket to open the release latch.
Hold the release latch and slide the SSD assembly out of the external flexbay slot.

Identify the solid state drive (SSD) assembly location highlighted in blue.
Slide and insert the solid state drive assembly into the external flexbay slot.
Push and close the release latch to secure the SSD assembly in place.
