Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the recesses located near the hinges.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Using the pull tab, lift up to disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Hard Drive Assembly
Identify the hard drive assembly highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive assembly to the system board.
Remove the hard drive assembly from the system.
Hard Drive
Position the Hard drive assembly as shown.
Identify the hard drive highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the interposer cable from the hard drive.
Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the bracket.
Remove the hard drive from the bracket.
Install
Hard Drive
Position the Hard drive assembly as shown.
Identify the hard drive location highlighted in blue.
Align and install the hard drive into the bracket
Install the screws that secure the hard drive to the bracket.
Connect the interposer cable to the hard drive.
Hard Drive Assembly
Identify the hard drive assembly location highlighted in blue.
Install the hard drive assembly and align the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the hard drive assembly.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Push down to connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the base cover and press the edges and sides until it snaps into place.
Tighten the screws to secure the base cover to the system.
