Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Using a Torx #5, remove the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
Place fingers into the recess at the top edge and move your hands to both sides to pry the base cover.
Lift the base cover off the system.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screw that secures the battery connector bracket to the palm rest assembly.
Unhook and lift the battery connector bracket off the system board.
Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the display cable bracket to the system board.
Lift the display assembly cable bracket off the system board.
Disconnect the camera and display cables from the system board.
Remove the screws that secure the camera and display cable holder to the system board.
Open the display to a 90 degree angle and place the system at the edge of a flat table.
Remove the screws that secure the left and right hinges to the system.
Lift the display assembly off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
Install
Display Assembly
Identify the display assembly location highlighted in blue.
Align the screw holes and install it into the system.
Install the screws that secure the left and right display hinges to the system.
Close the display assembly, turn the system over and place it on the flat surface.
Slide the camera and display assembly cable holder back to the system board.
Install the screws that secure the camera and display-assembly cable holder to the system board.
Connect the camera and display cables to the system board.
Install the display assembly cable bracket on the system board and align the screw holes.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the display-assembly cable bracket to the system board.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to its connector on the system board.
Slide the hook under the system board and install the bracket to the system board.
Tighten the screw that secures the battery connector bracket to the palm rest assembly.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover and press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.
Using a Torx #5, install the screws that secure the base cover to the system.
