Inspiron 5675 Service Manual

Procedure

NOTE: For computers shipped with fan cooling, your computer may show an ePSA fan error (Error code #2000-0511) on replacing the system board . This error is due to incorrect jumper setting. Remove the jumper plug from fan-jumper pin to fix the ePSA fan error. Replacement system board is shipped with the default jumper setting, with the jumper plug on the fan-jumper pin, which is applicable only for computers shipped with liquid-cooling assembly.

To locate fan-jumper pin in your computer, go to System board components.

  1. Align the system board with the slots on the chassis and place the system board in position.
  2. Replace the eight screws (6-32UNCx6.3) that secure the system board to the chassis.
  3. Route the front-audio cable, fan cable, processor-power cable, power-button board cable, power-supply unit cable, USB 2.0 cable, USB 3.0 cable, optical-drive power cable, hard-drive cables, and USB 3.1 Type-C port cable (optional) through their routing guides and connect the cables to their respective connectors on the system board.
  4. Place the computer in an upright position.
