Removing the speaker module

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. stand

    2. back cover

    3. cable cover

    4. speaker cover

    5. system-board shield

  3. To release the speaker module:
    1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Unthread the speaker cables from the retention clips [2].

  4. To remove the speaker module:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the speaker module to the chassis [1].
    2. Lift the speaker module and remove it from the chassis [2].
