Resetting virtual appliance to factory settings
Steps
- Open the virtual machine console. See Opening vSphere client console.
- Click Reset Settings.
The following message is displayed:
All the settings in the appliance will be Reset to Factory Defaults and the appliance will be rebooted. Do you still wish to continue?
- To reset the appliance, click Yes, or to cancel, click No.
If you click yes, the OMIVV appliance is reset to the original factory settings and all other settings and existing data is lost.
Results
NOTE: When the virtual appliance
is reset to factory settings, any updates that you had done on the
network configuration are preserved; these settings are not reset.
