Thanks for the advice. I went with the Toshiba Q Pro 256. Upgrade went smoothly. Toshiba included a rubber spacer (and it was needed) that sits below the drive making it a perfect fit. The difference in performance is quite remarkable.

Any 2.5" 7 mm SATA SSD or SSHD will work as a replacement for the standard hard drive.

I have a hyper x 3k ssd that is 9.5 mm will that fit did they leave some room below the hard drive bracket for 9.5mm devices?
