AW Aurora R4 hardware upgrades

Hello all, I am planning to update my Alienware Aurora R4 (from early 2013).
These are my current specs:  http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/7099726

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core i7 3820 @ 3.60GHz Sandy Bridge

Motherboard: Alienware 07JNH0 BIOS A11

Graphics: 4.0Gb NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980Ti (x2)

RAM: Crucial 32GB DIMM DDR3 @ 1600 MHz

HHD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 3TB

PSU: Alienware 875 Watts.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm hoping to do a few things:

upgrading to Win 10 (already bought, being shipped)

swap out the CPU for a newer better performing model without replacing the motherboard

upgrade the graphics to a 1080 (if it will fit in the R4 case ?)

add an SSD as the boot drive and make the current hhd as storage

Any help with this list and what are your recommendations ?

I'm hoping to do a few things:

2. upgrading to Win 10 (already bought, being shipped)

3. swap out the CPU for a newer better performing model without replacing the motherboard

4. upgrade the graphics to a 1080 (if it will fit in the R4 case ?)

5. add an SSD as the boot drive and make the current hhd as storage

Any help with this list and what are your recommendations ?

1. These 3 items are fine

2. Sounds good. If you would have done it sooner (last year), it would have been free upgrade (but I think that offer is finally over)

3. No, I would not bother. Yours is quad-core, 8-thread. Plus, BIOS Micro-code only supports the old CPUs from that time.

4. Yes, it will fit. Search for my Aurora-R1 GTX-1070 upgrade posts with pics.

5. Yes, perfect. It will run SATA-3/600 so welcome speeds of read-500/400-write or there abouts. It will seem like a new machine.
