AW558 mouse, wheel tilt non-functional?
Greetings all,
I recently obtained a Alienware AW558 Advanced Gaming Mouse. And while I'm enjoying it, I'm having some issues with the buttons. I cannot seem to either activate or utilize the wheel's 'tilt' function. I have purchased this for gaming, and the ability to assign commands to the tilt buttons would be of use. I've attempted to assign macros to the tilt buttons as well, but with no success. They cannot seem to be accessed or assigned through the Command Centre. I found an old post from August 2018 that asked a similar question, and received a response that doesn't really answer the question. The instructional video shows how to assign macros, but refers mostly to the keyboard and does not refer to the tilt buttons. Any recommendations, suggestions or directions would be appreciated. These are two buttons that I can think of at least one game I'd love to be able to access.

Hi @Ceraunos ,
You're not alone unfortunately. Many users claim about it and no solution yet.
WarFrame Forum: "...Unfortunately when I try to bind keys on tilt right or left , the game just not see those functions."
Amazon User Review: "...All buttons are not customizable for games (such as the left tilt and right tilt). No way to drag your macros to those. You can only drag macros to the side buttons. You have to record macros just for a hotkey for keystrokes. Other mouses allow you to customize it fully. I honestly use it because it matches my 17 r4. I would advise looking into other mouses."
PC Respective User Review: "...My only gripe was the scroll wheel doesn't tilt"
Hopefully a future driver update fix it.

I did. Just reinstalled. Latest version of the Alienware Command Centre and Alienware Control Centre Updater. No change.
I go to open ACCU; nothing happens.
I got to Alienware Update; nothing happens.
Whether I'm missing something here is very possible. Any recommendations appreciated.

First, I'll say this. Why is this issue marked "solved" when there isn't a solution? Dell produced a mouse that isn't as functional as they promised. I had more success with my Logitech mouse that was half the price.
Dell needs to get their driver straight quickly.

Hello,
I know why the the tilt funcion is unfunctunal.
While is was reading this pdf about the mouse [https://gzhls.at/blob/ldb/5/b/7/7/438fb98f221110387c4df3f55d84d381856a.pdf]
(just as you i wanted to solve this issue)
i zoomed in and no idea why but i tilted the mouse button.
what i saw is that it moves the screen left and right. So what i can say is that the button is working, but unbindable...
Atleast you can use it in photoshop or sonyvegas- lol :D

It happen to me, there are just 2 programmable buttons, not 9, and the horizontal scrool is not detected in games, and it can not be mapped.
