Area-51 R2, RTX 3090/3080 compatible?
I was hoping to upgrade to the 3090 in my Area-51 R2. It's got a Titan X in there now. When I opened the case up to measure for it, however, I'm not sure the 3090 is going to fit, at least the founder's edition cards. There's a mounting bracket thing that the Titan X is attached I guess to keep it from vibrating too much. The plate itself looks like it's just over 12 inches but there's a little piece of plastic extending out of it to the Titan X to screw it in place. But the plastic bit on the first slot only leaves around 10 inches of room I think.
So my question is, is there any way the Founders edition 3090 can fit in this case? Maybe by removing the plastic piece from the mounting rack or using a different slot? This case is pretty big, so I'm kind of surprised/disappointed that it doesn't seem the 3090 will fit.
If the 3090 founders edition doesn't fit, will the founders edition 3080 fit?
Are there any partner versions of the 3090/3080 that will fit in this case? I just got a 4k TV and need to upgrade from the Titan X to get more consistent 4K performance and for HDMI 2.1 support.
Here's a picture of the inside of the case. Sorry for the bad quality.

Also, Asus and MSI will be making sfx versions. From Asus' website:

The 3090 is a big performance jump from the flagship maxwell card. It is a good upgrade choice.

Did you find a resolution yet? Are you able to fit this in there but you removed the bracket to make it fit? Do you think it is possible to make 2 fit?
I have an Alienware and have been looking for a virtual reality video card upgrade.

Hello i have an Area-51 R5, and the case is very similar to the R2, i only removed the Bracket to fit the Graphic card, and used a external support for the card from amazon.
Solved: Area-51 R5, upgrade to new Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti - Dell Community
