The 3090 is a big performance jump from the flagship maxwell card.  It is a good upgrade choice.

@JeroMiya I'm hoping to upgrade to a 3080 myself. Did you upgrade anything else on ur area 51 r2? Mobo, CPU, more ram?

Did you find a resolution yet? Are you able to fit this in there but you removed the bracket to make it fit? Do you think it is possible to make 2 fit?

 

I have an Alienware and have been looking for a virtual reality video card upgrade.

Hello i have an Area-51 R5, and the case is very similar to the R2, i only removed the Bracket to fit the Graphic card, and used a external support for the card from amazon.
