Area-51 R2, Windows won't boot if I install AWCC?

Background, I was experimenting with some overclocks, which I think are still mild. I tried successfully 4.4Ghz at all cores, @1.2921volts using Command Center. Temps never got closer than 15C to thermal limit. I played some games for about one hour. I ran Firestrike and everything looked normal.

The next day, I rebooted and Windows would BSOD; never got to the log-in screen, something like "system service extension". I decided to nuke the boot drive and reinstall windows. After some struggle due to multiple drives, I managed to install windows and all drivers.

Yet, now if I install Command Center, the installation finishes, and asks for the computer to be restarted. I do that, and Windows will not log-in anymore. It will cycle and then the only way out is to use a restore point before the installation of command center (typing this like this)..

I did CMOS reset, and reinstalled BIOS A14 but the same problem persist.

any suggestions? the machine seems to be working fine with stock settings, but gaming is not that great with a turbo of 3.4Ghz.

I have 4x16GB DDR4 2400Mhz (running at 2133; I have never managed to overclock memory); and a Radeon VII graphics card.

I have also encountered this issue since rebuilding and reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro OS. I have tried numerous versions of AWCC with the same result since updating the bios to version A14.

The solution I have found is to use the AWCC version located here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-au/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=JD5K1&fileId=3405193053&osCode=W764&productCode=alienware-area51-r2&languageCode=EN&categoryId=AP

This is the only version I have found which allows the PC to start and operate normally. I hope this helps solve your issue also.

Sounds like you found a solution.

Also, sometimes turning off Windows-10's "Fast Startup" can help MIO-Board/AW-CC initialize more properly. You don't really need it anyway when booting from a SSD.
