Some of us community members were looking at this Area 51 configuration a few weeks ago and at least I did see an option for a single liquid cooled 2080 OC, but not the dual card. Now there's no more liquid cooled option available on the website like you said. I think the configs could be fluid so just take a page out of your playbook and get Dell on the phone to see if it is indeed an optionable purchase and get a great price while you're at it.
@Anonymous that picture of the A51 you posted has me curious... is that an mATX board or full size ATX?
Truth be told, I think it looks pretty neat but for the money Dell wants, I could build my own TR based system and still have money to spare. But yeah, still looks cool. Very Alienish.
The swing arm hovering right over the GPU processor is the real issue with aurora. But even in a different case it probably wouldn’t make a difference.
Atleast dell was nice and and gave us a blower style 2080ti. Which does less harm to other components.
I didn’t know a51 offered the 2080ti with liquid cooling. Their description of the desktops base layout is pretty slim. So it’s hard to determine what’s going in the machine. I just assumed the gpu wasn’t water cooled lol.
Dell moved the Alienware Area 51m over to the Legend at the start of 2019, the remaining Alienware laptops (m15 and M17) moved over to Legend in May 2019. Next, the Aurora jumped onto Legend in August... so it shouldn't be hard to figure out what's moving over to Legend next considering the fact that the only remaining Alienware product still sporting a last gen look is the Area 51 desktop. The only question is when... based on the turnaround time frame for the prior Alienware products I would guess that a new Area 51 PC on a Legend design will come out in time for Christmas.

@amstel78
Looks to me like full size ATX. It looks small because the A51 chassis is huge compared to R8. Even with an ATX x299 mobo, there's breathing room.
@Anonymous
I still have the edit function. Maybe you start losing features once Dell detects you've hit a certain number of posts.

I think a tear drop just fell from my eye ball.
That’s a long ways away. Though. My r9 won’t ship until the 16th October, and I thought that was long.
Maybe I can use the r9 for 20 or so days. By then, maybe a51 legend will release
