Aurora R10, OC in Command Center, no Advanced tabs

Need some assistance. I just bought an R10, Ryzen 7 3800X, RTX 2080 Super, with 64GB 3200mhz ram. Why is my GPU the only thing with an advanced tab in command center? My CPU and RAM don’t have an advanced tab to overclock?!?! I need advanced tabs and OC control ASAP...

HELLO everyone!

Update regarding the Command Center Overclock! Finally all is working and I now have Overclock Advance Tabs in the CPU, GPU and RAM. I just installed both the BIOS update 1.0.6. and the updated Alienware Overclock Control Application downloaded from Dell website and that's it, all fixed.

Hi, I had the same problem with BIOS 1.08. After downgrade to 1.07 the tabs were there. But this was for a R9. Maybe a similar problem with the R10 BIOS?

I've got the same issue with my r10, only the GPU shows in Command Center for overclocking. Also, in the BIOS there is nothing in there for overclocking the CPU, just RAM.

For now, I'm using Ryzen Master to OC the CPU (3900, non-x) but I sure would like to have a menu in the BIOS to tweak things as well. (I tried v1.0.1 and 1.0.2)

  • Same with my R10, My CPU is Ryzen7 3700x and under my Alienware Command Center Fusion I only have GPU with the advanced view, my CPU and RAM have no option, under overclock profiles I have overclock1 and overclock2 presets and I have no idea what values are in those presets since I cannot open advanced tab in them.

Ok, this sounds like an issue that needs attention. I'm no AMD expert here. Only familiar with the Intel stuff that goes into Alienware.

Yes, please @DELL-Chris M , we need the advanced tab at least for the RAM. I’m not sure why it was taken away. I’ve heard it’s not good, and I don’t plan to, overclock my Ryzen 7 3800x. But none of the settings in the BIOS allow my RAM to run at 3200mhz. I bought 4x16GB 3200mhz HyperX Fury RAM. In the BIOS, custom settings don’t appear to work, XMP 1 repeatedly crashes and reverts to old settings, XMP 2 only hits 2933, and auto only hits 2933. We need a BIOS update or preferably an advanced tab added in AWCC.

I help manage all Forum boards, but I am not on the Alienware team. I can certainly provide general Alienware information like validated part numbers, links, etc. But you will need to reach out to one of the Alienware Liaisons via Private Message to communicate your complaints about AWCC and BIOS.

@Pleebs I set my RAM to auto in the BIOS and it runs at 3200 (Mine is 2600) but yeah, I'd love to have the tab in AWCC, too.

Changing it to XMP1 in BIOS vs. AWCC advanced will make no difference.  They both do the same thing.  If it wont' work when you set XMP1 via BIOS, you will get the exact same result by setting XMP1 via AWCC.

We still need a BIOS update because something isn’t working when it should be. AWCC is just more convenient then changing in BIOS and saving and letting the PC restart. For instance the setting I do have I can move the slider on the GPU overclock in AWCC and it takes effect and works immediately without the need for a restart.

@DELL-Chris M who should I be messaging about this issue then? Or can you have them send me a message to resolve this issue?

@Pleebs :

You should be getting an automated private message from "Dell Cares". That's how you get in contact.

I tried Twitter and this is the garbage I get. Either no one knows what’s going on so they have no idea how to fix it or I get ... Thank you for the pictures and details, these seem to be 3rd party components not supplied with the computer, hence not included in the warranty coverage, nor can we support them at this time, please use the original RAM included with this computer in order for us to be able to provide the assistance under warranty.

Ram has absolutely nothing to do with this problem. It's a BIOS or Dell driver issue.
