7:10pm machine tried to install bios 2.1.1 and failed. system information still show 1.0.7
when machine attempted to restart it went through four or five rounds of 2,1 flashes before alerting me that the computer failed to boot three times and asked if i wanted to restart or go to the setup menu.
this is when it resets to memoc disabled in the startup menu
The 2-1 blink code means it triggered a fault for system board (motherboard) failure. You might try putting everything back to OEM stock and optimized defaults in BIOs and clearing CMOS if you have never done so.
If that does not help, you should contact support for assistance options if you're still under the 12 month warranty.
i did do that, except i didnt put the OEM memory back in it. because i put the OEM memory in the identical machine as mine that is at my church that does our live stream.
i havent been able to locate the same hyperx memory but i bought a kit of dell spec corsair memory and am going to try that.
i might just be over thinking the hyper x memory, but everything is proprietary dell so who knows if the tunes are the same or whatnot.
as a self follow up, it is a motherboard issue and needs replacement, dell has ordered parts, which may or may not be refurbished and are making attempts to send a third party technician to perform replacement services.
in several previous discussion threads, i had expressed in painful amounts of detail that every time i start my alienware R10 ryzen i get a flashing code 2 flashes pause 1 flash.
after extensive periods of time with dell and then having a service ticket created to replace the motherboard in the machine.
the issue was resolved for 2 days, and has now returned. and in fact is worse. windows does not hold my login credentials, and i have to fully sign in to my microsoft account with each startup.
i am using the OEM memory, and all connections were made by the technician who replaced the MOBO.
Is this an R10 with a Ryzen 3000 CPU, or a Ryzen 5000 CPU?
Could you run both of these tests and see if it passes? R10 tests
I am assuming you log into windows with a PIN code, and after each boot it invalidates this and you have to login with your Microsoft account?
If that is the case, this would be normal behavior when the bios has been updated. This happens to me each time I update the bios. Do you know what bios version you have?

Is the flashing light white or amber in color?
