Aurora R10, installing SSD
I currently have the below specs. Also I am not very computer versed. I have ordered a Samsung Solid State Drive 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 500GB - MZ-V7S500B/AM to increase opening application speeds as they seem sluggish. My questions is, when I install the ssd, is it just a plug and play or do I need to install windows onto the ssd and change the boot ect? I have had two answers, one from a dell IT tech saying it's a plug and play and one from a normal dell rep saying I need to install windows from.
Alienware Aurora R10
AMD Ryzen(TM) 7 5800 (8-Core, 36MB Total Cache, Max Boost Clock of 4.6GHz)
2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s

"just a plug and play or"
Also, if you do use it as a blank storage drive it won't work or be usable in windows on your desktop until you initialize, format, and install it. There are a number of options when installing it, but it's pretty easy.

You need to install windows, etc, on it to increase boot time and loading of programs, etc., installed on it. Otherwise it would be just a blank/empty storage drive with absolutely 0 / no effect on anything on your pc.
