Aurora R10, memory upgrade
Hi, I have ordered a R10 with the 3700x, RTX 2070 super and 16GB of RAM. If I remember correctly it’s the hyperX fury 2666Mhz.
Since I’ll be doing video editing I wanted to get the 32GB 3200Mhz but the cost of doing so on the Dell website was significantly more than ordering the same RAM on Amazon...
I would like to order the RAM and I’m wondering if any 2X16GB 3200Mhx XMP kit work? Orb do you have recommendations for this Ryzen system? I found a couple of list for the other R systems but not specific to this motherboard so I would assume what is recommended/tested would be different.
And if that matters in your answer I actually don’t do much gaming at the moment but mainly video editing. I’m thinking 32GB would be enough for now but might consider getting another 32GB of the same memory later if needed. I had a look at the manual and it seems 4x16GB XMP would work.

Just received an email saying delayed until August. That's a 3 month wait from ordering, so whilst my RAM is here now, and my H60 and Noctua fans, the R10 itself won't be making an appearance any time soon unfortunately.

What's your take on this?
Crucial 2x16-3200 JEDEC-no XMP needed...works for both Ryzen 3k and 5k.
I am guessing this is what the OEM sells you for twice the price from the limited google info I have found. I know the latency is high at CL22 and the people that ask the question seem to get pounded on in forums so please take it easy on me lol... I guess what I am getting at is seeing as though dual rank ram is getting harder to find in the 2x16 GB kits this will get you that. Also won't it be pretty good E die because it has to spec to 3200? I mean the specs on the lower XMP binned die you get is 2400 or so for the JEDEC certified speeds. Comparing it to my stock hyper fury I received, (2400T downbin 075-E), it definitely has to be better then that??? You also wont have to overclock your machine or could it open up for the potential? (but you never know lol at least with the ryzen 3000 r10) I guess in the end you are getting guaranteed compatibility at 3200 and dual rank with decent E die and potential to overclock. I mean the Crucial Ballistix seems to be one of the best options at the moment but your prob not getting Dual rank as more time goes by. I would love to see someone tinkering with this on you tube. Is it out there?...Wondering what you guys think...

Hey guys...
HX434C16FB3K2/32
Go to CDW or Office Depot they got these closeouts from a couple years ago. They are DUAL rank and DUAL channel. They also have 4x8gb quad channel kits for a little over 200.00 all different speeds up to 3733...!!!

I went with the newer version of these, and at 3466MHz for the new 5xxx ryzen

Now if Dell would just you know, deliver my R10 order this year then I'd be able to confirm compatibility or not...

Ordered my R10 yesterday, and today got the notification saying it's in productioin. I cheaped out by selecting the lowest RAM option on my order (hard earned $$ all went to 6800XT). I ordered 2 Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 from Amazon
I am not sure how it would fare but by reading this thread I am a bit more optimistic. For Ryzen architecture you definitely need to go for higher RAM frequency. Will revisit this post once I got my order ( current ETA Jul 21st)

Might work, or not work. 3600 Mhz RAM is not supported on the R10 as per the manual: R10 manual
Page 14 of that manual. There's also a specific difference between the configurations based on size. For example 2 x 8 is only supported up to 3200 Mhz and not 3400 Mhz.
I am not saying it will not work, and hopefully it just works, but the odds are against it since it has not been validated and that XMP profile might not load properly.
Do report back, and if you ordered it from Amazon you can always return it should it not work.

I'm running 4x8 of the Corsair vengeance lpx at 3600mhz 1800 fabric clock. The only reason for this configuration is its what was available in store at time. I've had no issues at all since the bios update.
Today's new radeon update now allows you to easily turn Smart Access Memory on or off for easy benchmarks. 5600x 6800xt

Did it work for you?
I purchased the hyper x Fury 3466mhz but pc crashes a few minutes after entering windows when I select XMP 1 (3466)
It seems to run fine at XMP 2 (2933)
Any idea how to fix it?

Keep creeping up...I got lots of BSOD so back your stuff up! Here is where I am at today after about 8 hours of Meme/aida/prime and a couple days usage.

I got it to post at 3400 but I lost it all lol...so back here. I'm starting to think that Dual rank dual channel this might be about it for this board and this particular model of RAM...

I think the original ones are single rank modules. It might be the reason why you are experiencing issues with switching to dual rank modules. These systems are picky with after market memory support...

I forgot, It will post at 1700 if you put that in and 1.35 v and set "auto" everything else. But the timings are 24/24/24/55/79. 1467 at 16/17/17/36/68 is better I would say.

That's annoying, I have those ready to go when my R10 gets here also.
What CPU/Motherboard are you running these in?

After all this time, just coming back to confirm that these (2x 16GB 3466 sticks) do work.
In my new R10 running at 3400mhz.

My new R10 should be shipping in a couple weeks, i with the minimum cost ram,
so I can order a kit: HyperX / 2x16gb / 3466mhz this should be stable?
Also is it plug and play or do i have to modify any bios settings? any help would be appreciate any confirmation of this!
