Aurora R10, upgrade to Ryzen 9 5950x

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 550W Power Supply
Hi I would like to upgrade my current cpu from a ryzen 7 5800 which is 65W to a Ryzen 9 5950x which is a 105W cpu. My current power supply is a 550W and I was just curious if I would need to upgrade my power supply and if so is there a way to figure out which ones will fit in my pc?

It depends on your current gpu spec. If you had rtx 3090, the 550w is borderline for 5800, and you would need a 650w psu for 5950x. Any good name brand standard ATX psu would fit.

I play intense cpu base games like tarkov and star citizen for example and I was trying to upgrade that although I would personally prefer to upgrade my mother board to an am5 compatible board and get the r9 7900

hey sorry for the delay but my current gpu is a 3070 I have 24 gigs of ram all 3200 3 sticks total
