Aurora R11, CPU stuck @ 4.87GHz

Stuck at 4.8-4.9 with mild temp and fans. Not overclocking cpu. set to Thermal Balanced. Thinking about uninstalling AWCC and installing the new date. Any advice?6-6-21cpu.PNG

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

I had the same issue and the problem was "minimum processor state" in Windows power options which was set to 100%.

Could be the windows update reset the Power plans and put it at something different than what it was before.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll have to check in on that I never messed with any of them setting. I ended up reinstalling AWCC suite and that seemed to fix the issue it now idles correctly and at game play goes up to 4.8-4.9 GHz. I have no idea why all of a sudden it did that. I’ll check those settings out if I run into a problem with that again

Thanks

DrKey, are you on a laptop? My R11 does not have that on battery setting.
Well it seems that my rig is doing that AWCC Background Server thing again and the only way to get the cpu to idle is open up AWCC and click the FX tab.I have already uninstalled AWCC and reinstalled it and also the AWCC OC update.

very odd.

And I did respond and I already know what y’all are gonna tell me to do and I already did it. You guys have sent me 5 messages and I kindly said thanks but I don’t need the help as this time. I already been through this a couple of months ago with this AWCC background Service issue.
thanks for the response though.

I also think the virtual assistance is a little buggy also.

Try opening up the power options, plan setting, and selecting balanced.  If you have the high performance plan selected the default is to raise the processor state.  The battery setting is for a laptop.

Since your CPU idles after AWCC loads, it sounds like a windows setting instead of a AWCC setting.  Once AWCC kicks in it takes over control of those settings.

Thanks r72019, I think it's a AWCC FX issue that's not recognizing one of my settings. When I boot up I just go to AWCC and click on the FX tab and then it starts to idle correctly. I did check my Power Options/Balanced and I'm good there. I may recheck my Monitor and Keyboard drivers again.

This is how I deal with it for now, I have already uninstalled AWCC and reinstalled new version.

Oh, I see there is a background AWCC service taking up CPU resources.

Yeah this happened to me once before I’m hoping an update will knock it loose. I’ve had this issue on my R9 and now recently my R11. All power limits are at balanced mode.
