I followed your suggestion and checked the driver download area for my desktop. I still couldn't see a reference to Optane however there is a reference to 'Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver' and I'm starting to think that this could be the missing link. There is a driver for Intel Rapid Storage technology but this doesn't refer to Optane. I have also tried to search the download pages help and again, can't find a reference to optane. I have followed the link on the Dell site and it looks like Dell have a version of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver suitable for my R11 Aurora (version 17.11.0.1000, A05). It is marked as urgent in the dell download area. Do you think I should install it ? If I don't. I'm not sure how I can get Optane working after the clean windows 11 install. Any advice would be gratefully received. I won't move until I hear from you. All the best, Ed

Hi EdCo64, I've followed the link and it appears that there are 2 versions of the Optane memory, These are the H series and the M series. I've checked my alienware documentation but can't work out which Optane memory the PC is fitted with. Any idea how I can check this ? All the best, Ed
If you go to the official Dell drivers download web site, it will grab your service tag and identify all available downloads for your machine automatically.

Looks like it is part of RST drivers, so the best option is to download the Windows 11 RST drivers from Dell for your machine.
