I'm very happy with the thermals right now, but I have some other plans that may improve it further, or it may not, but suspect it will. Additional front fan, I'm confident will help. I have an Arctic AIO pump I want to try, but I haven't even plugged it into the motherboard yet to see how it reacts.
Yea, I didn't do a thread on that. I have mentioned it on other members threads in hopes of helping with their situation. In a nutshell I did a H80I V2 and didn't care for it. Ended up connecting the stock AIO pump to the H80I rad and it worked great, but I had to use adapters due to different barb sizes. Not sure what the deal was with the H80I V2, pump speed etc was good. I decided on the EK rad because it has a copper core and I could install the correct fittings I needed for the stock AIO pump. I don't really have any pics other than a comparison of the H80I rad and EK rad. which I'll post up.
@Anonymous Here is an image of the H80I V2 I had installed. I tried different "clocking positions" thinking maybe cavitation issues due to air trapped in the system to no avail. Maybe I just received a defective pump? It's a moot point at this juncture lol
@Anonymous I just reused the glycol and diluted it with distilled water for better heat transfer. Since the rad and cold plate are both copper no concerns about dissimilar metals not getting along. AIO's can have anywhere from 90 to 98 % coolant in the system with the rest being air. A little air is good for expansion reasons. I just tried to get as much out as I could.
@r72019 Yea, I just used what I had at the time. It's working great I kinda hate to mess with right now tho I'm content with the thermal performance at the moment, noise levels with the Noctua in the top fan position are a mere whisper which I am loving. I'll get the mod bug again here before long and I'll see how the Arctic goes.
I just tried installing the Noctua on the front fan on my R11 (i7-10700KF RTX 3080), like you said works but boot errors, so I replaced it with the Corsair ML 120 Pro. I'm really disappointed because the noise, or lack there of, with the Noctua is crazy! So you're saying you moved the Noctua over the top exhaust and it worked? Just double checking because I have other mods to do (thermal paste and pads for RTX 3080) and I'd like to plan ahead.

Ah, I had been curious about the blue tubes, I didn't realize it was a custom mod until reading the details.

Which noctua fan did you use?
