Aurora R11 PCIe x16 speed downgraded to x8
Hello,
I'm trying to install the Vive Wireless Adapter (which uses a PCIe x1 slot) into the secondary x16 slot of my Aurora R11. The wireless adapter registers just fine, but it seems like my RTX 3080 is now running on PCIe 1.1 x8 slot (according to GPU-Z) instead of its normal 3.0 x16 slot.
Is there any way I can configure the computer in the BIOS or something to only run the secondary x16 slot in x1 mode so that my graphics card isn't affected / is there any other way to install a PCIe x1 card? It seems bizarre that the only other available PCIe slot in the computer downgrades the graphics card so heavily.
Thanks

"instead of its normal 3.0 x16 slot."
The top and bottom slots run at x8 only. There is no option to run it at x16. This is also stated in the service manual.

" PCIe 1.1"
Also, that is normal. The default setting is to drop bandwidth during low use. Stress the GPU and it will bump back to 3.0.

The slots are mechanically X16, but electrically X8. So the maximum link speed is X8 on the 2 available mechanical X16 (full length) slots.
As for the PCIe link speed showing lower than advertised, that is because of a setting in the power plan.
If you want to always have them use full link speed, you have to change the setting under the advanced power plan configuration I highlighted below. I have mine always set to run at full link speed.
