The's just the largest drive sold stock with the system. Dell hasn't validated any other drives.   You can use larger drives but just make sure if its a boot drive to use gpt and not mbr, same as any system.

Oh, that's just like the supposed 64GB of ram when the mobo can handle 128.

Smh Dell and their "tested" only specs. So dumb.

On a side note, I love my last AW. But I see the newest design looks very compact internally to me. If you have an R11, how does yours run? Any heating issues?

Dell has been using the same internal chassis with the metal swing arm for the psu since the r5.  The plastic outside cover changed with the r9 to the legend desugn.   The internal is and has been really cramped, so you get noise with the fans spinning to dissipate hest.  As tech advances with newer generations, cpus, gpus, become more powerful and produce more heat, psu has also been upgraded starting with the r10, also adding more heat, but the cpu and case cooling options are the same as the r5.  There is a new gpu cooler add on option with the 2080 for the r11. So yea people do experience some heat/ noise issues when pushing the setup.
