Sure, but it may lack the hardware required to power and cool an ulocked i9 such as vrm heatsinks, liquid cooling, upgraded psu, that comes stock if you buy it configured that way from Dell.
Thank you for your reply, as it was quite insightful, but can I simply pay extra to have all of those things added in at the same time as when I have the processor swapped out? My issue was that I only had enough cash to get the i7 cpu for right now but then within a short number of months I'll have enough to add on any and all upgrades (that are technically possible) that I so wish. Thanks again!
