I don't see that Samsung has an 8TB nvme drive released. Only a few companies out there list it for sale, and they're terribly expensive still. Are you talking about a Samsung 870 EVO 2.5" SATA, perhaps?
So far that I know there's not an upper limit on SSD storage capacity recognition. It's only limited by the size available on the sales market.
