Aurora R11, reboot issue after adding 16GB stick

Hello,

I see a lot of posts about Aurora RAM upgrades but none of the problems seem to fit the issue I am having.

My R11 came with one stick of 16gb DDR4 3200mhz HyperX Fury RAM. I bought another stick of the same 16gb of RAM that came installed and when I boot the system up I get the message that my RAM has changed and do I want to continue. I click yes and everything works great and I verified that all 32GB's are working through task manager. The problem is, when I reboot the PC it won't boot up. I get the flashing amber light for a few minutes then the system shuts off. When I remove the new stick then everything works normally.

I'm guessing something's wrong in the BIOS but i'm not familiar how that works.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Did you buy the RAM from amazon or Dell? If you got it from amazon then the problem is you have mismatched RAM.  The retail hyperx is different than the one kingston makes custom speced for Dell.

Resale OEM RAM, and buy after market RAM to match.

I’m having a similar issue, bought Alienware Aurora r11 in Dec 2020 with 8gb ram, upgraded with 2 32gb ram now my pc takes atleast 5 mins to boot into windows, I’m not a techy person so have no idea how to resolve this issue, it’s kinda annoying as it ran faster with the original 8gb.
